Demitri Kesoglides, a.k.a. SANiTY (or DJ SANiTY), has been cutting his teeth in the New York City nightlife circuit for over a decade now. Hailing from Queens, the 28-year-old has a diverse ethnic background which definitely lends itself to his varied taste in music. SANiTY's flexibility as a DJ shows in his live sets, as he has played to many different types of crowds -- ranging from upscale venues (Greenhouse, Highline Ballroom, The DL) to underground venues (The Electric Warehouse, The Paper Box, The Hangar, among other venues in Brooklyn), as well as some of NYC's premier venues for electronic music (Output Main Floor, Pacha, Stage 48, and Webster Hall). Upon graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in Management of Musical Enterprises from Baruch College, and subsequently his Master's Degree in Music Business from NYU, SANiTY has shifted focus from the business side of the industry to developing himself as an artist. As producing original music has now taken precedent, SANiTY is experimenting to find his ‘sound’ – a cross between progressive, electro, hip-hop, groovy, and g-house styles along with open-format mixing techniques. After a few free releases on prominent blogs such as EDM Insider, YourEDM, EDMTunes, ThisSongSlaps, and Do Androids Dance (Complex Magazine), he made his record label debut in 2014 with UK-based EJ Eternal, part of the Krafted Music Group umbrella. The label released his 'HOMESICK EP', which saw the title track "Homesick" w/songwriter Kritty amass over 50K plays via The EDM Network. The song received the music video treatment and a remix EP, with remixes by Fight Clvb (Wall Recordings/Dim Mak/Revealed Recordings), Kapo, Ehallz, and Dope Tendencies (Buygore/Caps Lock Crew). SANiTY also had releases on Cali-based label Pop Rox Muzik with his electro original "Lose It!," as well as NYC-based label Groove Therapy Records, which released his smooth house single "You (Why Owe You)" featuring UK songstress Ella Markham. Currently, SANiTY is into the 'G-House' movement and has made his debut release with G-Mafia Records in 2017. He is currently working with local NYC producers and rappers to curate an 'East Coast G-House' movement -- an eclectic mix of gritty East Coast hip-hop lyricism, party trap breakdowns, and thumping house grooves. The first volume of the #EastCoastGHouse compilation has received support from EARMILK, The Music Ninja, HipHopHeadQuarters, DigitalDJPool, and even a personal shoutout from the West Coast G-House don himself -- Destructo. The project is out NOW on all available digital retailers and streaming platforms!
